Armenian violinist Anahit Kurtikyan pursued her studies in Yerevan under Petros Haykazyan and Willi Mokatsyan, and late in Switzerland with renowned Tibor Varga. Ms. Kurtikyan is winner of numerous national competitions. As former member of Amati Quartet and Zurich Opera Orchestra she has given concerts throughout Europe, the United States and Japan. An avid chamber music musician, her partners include such names as E. Brunner, R. Buchbinder, D. Fischer-Dieskau, David Geringas, S. Isserlis, Paul Meyer, D. Poppen and many others. Since 2001 Ms. Kurtikyan has been leading the second violin section with the Zurich Opera Orchestra with which she has played over 80 productions, including those on period instruments. She plays a violin by Camillo Camilli, anno 1733, Mantua.
