Winner of the Bösendorfer-Empire Concours and the Concorso Busoni, and a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Uriel Tsachor is a graduate of the Tel-Aviv-Rubin Academy and the Juillard School, where he earned his doctorate with his transcription of Schumann's Piano Quintet (CDX-29201). He has appeared in recitals in New York, Chicago, Tel-Aviv, Brussels, Vienna, Paris, London and others cities around the world. He has performed with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at the invitation of Maestro Zubin Metha and played with such prestigious European orchestras as the Teatro La Fenice Symphony in Venice and the RAI Orchestra of Turin. Since his Lincoln Center debut with the New York City Symphony, he has performed throughout the United States as recitalist, soloist with orchestra and chamber musician.
