The city of Bologna has always occupied an outstanding position in artistic, university and musical matters. This was demonstrated over the course of centuries by a large number of artists, not only of local origin, but also by those passing through, often united in numerous prestigious institutions.
From Stefano Molardi’s point of view, the territory of Bologna, and that of Reggio Emilia in general, has made an important contribution not only to the art of organ-building, but also from a musical point of view, presenting a repertoire that is rich in color, novelty, and the openess towards external influences. To illustrate his point of view, Maestro Molardi has chosen several specific works, which are played on three different organs in order to introduce the audience as well to the art of organ-building as well as to the repertoire.
Stefano Molardi plays on the following organs :
Organo Serassi 1794, Duomo di Guastalla (Reggio Emilia) Organo Traeri-Cipri-Montesanti, Chiesa di Gualtieri (Reggio Emilia) Organo Benedetti 1767, Chiesa di Brescello (Reggio Emilia)
