Born in 1944 in the French part of Switzerland, he studied at the Music Accademy in Basle under Rolf Mäser receiving the Teaching Diploma; with Paul Baumgartner he got the Diploma as Piano Soloist. Since then Gérard Wyss has performed internationally as a Soloist and more often as a brilliant Chamber Music partner. He participated on numerous outstanding brodcast- and CD-productions.
