The ensemble Kammersolisten Zug for this recording:

Luise Baumgartl (oboe) studied with Gerd-Albrecht Kleinfeld and Hans Elhorst, and Baroque oboe with Martin Stadler at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen. Active as a freelance Baroque oboist, she works with several ensembles specialized in early music. She has been a lecturer in Baroque oboe at the Musikhochschule in Karlsruhe since June 2005.

Beat G. Briner (bassoon) took lessons from Manfred Sax in Zurich. He passed his concert exams with distinction and perfected his musical training by studying Baroque music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. During these studies, he also obtained his doctorate in physics at the ETH Zurich and now heads the risk management divison of a private bank.

Stefan Buri (bassoon) studied with Manfred Sax in Zurich and Prof. Milan Turkovic at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. He has been a bassoon player in Basel Symphony Orchestra since the 1990/01 season and a member of the Collegium Novum Zurich since 1994. He is a co-founder and the artistic director of the Kammersolisten Zug.

Olivier Darbellay (horn) studied violoncello with Peter Hörr in Bern, as well as horn with Thomas Müller (Bern) and Bruno Schneider (Freiburg i.B.). He is a member of the Collegium Novum Zurich and of the Ensemble Contrechamps in Geneva. Darbellay has been solo horn of the Bern Symphony Orchestra since 1995; moreover, he has been teaching at the Musikhochschule Bern since 200 and at the Conservatoire in Lausanne since 2001.

Andreas Ferraino (clarinet) was born in Basle and studied clarinet with Hans Rudolf Stalder at the Musikhochschule there. Today he is a member of the Basel Symphony Orchestra. In addition to giving solo and chamber concerts, he devotes himself intensively to the performance practice of early music on historical clarinets.

Tomoko Ferraino (clarinet), a Tokyo native, obtained ther clarinet training at the Toho-Gakuen Music Conservatory of Tokyo, and later studied with Hans-Dietrich Klaus at the Musikhochschule Detmold. She perfected her chamber playing with Johann Sonnleitner at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where she also studied historical clarinets and chalumeaux with Hans Rudolf Stalder. In addition to performing chamber music and solo concerts, she also plays in a variety of Baroque orchestras.

Esther Fluor-Baumberger (oboe) studied recorder at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis as well as Baroque and classical oboe with Katharina Arfken at the Musikhochschule Trossingen. As a freelance musician, she plays with various ensembles specialized in historical performance practice such as the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, La Stagione Frankfurt and La Scintilla Zurich.

Hanna Holder (horn) was born in Stuttgart and studied with Francis Orval in Trossingen. She has been a horn player at the Zurich Opera Orchestra since 2000.
